Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has given an update on the situation of Manchester United winger and Chelsea target Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho is continuing to attract interest from Saudi Arabia, with his career at Old Trafford all but over.
Chelsea, though, still appear to be firmly in the driving seat for his signature despite the lack of progress over a deal.
Rio Ferdinand would love for Garnacho to stay at United, but a move to west London looks inevitable at this point.

Alejandro Garnacho tells Saudi Arabian club money can’t convince him to join
Garnacho has the chance to earn a massive pay cheque in Saudi Arabia, but it does not look like that will be enough to convince the 21-year-old to move to the Saudi Pro League.
According to Romano, Garnacho has told one club from the division that his future has nothing to do with money.
In an update about Garnacho’s situation on his YouTube channel, the Italian journalist said: “I’m told that also, a Saudi club called again in recent days to ask about the situation. ‘Why is Garnacho still not going to Chelsea? Can we enter the deal?’ The answer was, ‘Thanks, but it’s not about the money’.”

The above is good news for Chelsea, who remain extremely keen on bringing the Argentina international to Stamford Bridge.
While a deal does appear to be stalling, Chelsea really want to sign Garnacho before the transfer window closes next Monday.

The Chelsea youngster who has been discussed in Alejandro Garnacho talks
At one stage, one of Chelsea’s most promising talents being involved in a swap deal for Garnacho looked possible. Romano has claimed that Tyrique George’s name came up in discussions between Chelsea and United, though it did not amount to anything in the end.
If George does leave Enzo Maresca‘s side in the coming days, AS Roma is likely to be his destination.
Roma face competition from RB Leipzig for George’s signature, but as of now, the Italian club appear to be leading the race.
Being a Chelsea academy graduate, plenty of supporters will want George to remain in west London. But Maresca cannot guarantee him minutes this season.
