West Ham are said to be bracing themselves for unwelcome interest in some of the few players the club are desperate to keep. With the transfer window closing in, the Hammers appear to be struggling to bring in reinforcements – a situation that has alerted rival clubs ready to test David Sullivan with offers he doesn’t want.
Midfielder Tomáš Souček is one such player, but Claret & Hugh have learned he will not push for a move despite strong interest from Everton. A representative close to the 30-year-old Czech confirmed to us this morning his love for West Ham remains undiminished.

Reunited at Everton?
Former Irons boss David Moyes is keen to reunite with one of his favourites at Everton, as more clubs circle to pick over the carcass of West Ham’s awful start to the season. The Toffees have already made an enquiry and could soon firm up their interest with a formal bid.
With matchwinners in short supply, Graham Potter spoke last night about Souček’s future following his goal in the 3-2 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers: “Tomáš is incredibly important for us. You see his qualities and what he brings to the team. I can’t see him going anywhere.”
Claret & Hugh have been told repeatedly this summer of Souček’s commitment to West Ham. If, as expected, Moyes makes his move from Everton, “Big Sou” will not be pushing to leave.
