Ipswich Town and Leicester City are among the clubs showing late interest in Manchester City right-back Issa Kabore, according to Ben Jacobs.
Ipswich Town and Leicester City will both have visions of returning to the Premier League at the first time of asking this season. ITFC have started poorly though, while uncertainty persists over the Foxes off the pitch.
The Tractor Boys are 17th in the table and winless in their first three Championship games, and City are 7th after two wins and a defeat but a potential points deduction continues to lurk.

Nonetheless, both need new additions before the summer transfer window ends, and the Championship duo are among those eyeing Issa Kabore.
Writing on X, reporter Ben Jacobs has named both Ipswich Town and Leicester City as clubs interested in Issa Kabore. The full-back is widely expected to get a move away from Manchester City before the window’s end, and he is not short of options.

Jacobs names Hamburg and Ligue 1 new boys Paris FC as other clubs keen on Kabore, while he said Southampton had entered talks over a possible deal last week too.
It is not said whether the ITFC and Leicester target would move permanently or on loan, but he has two years left on his contract at Manchester City.

Issa Kabore would be a strong signing for Ipswich Town or Leicester City
Kabore has not made a break into the Manchester City first-team since signing from KV Mechelen in the summer of 2020, but he has gained a vast amount of experience at a good level of the game over the years.
As such, he would prove a smart signing for either Ipswich Town or Leicester City, or rumoured admirers Southampton.

The 24-year-old has spent time out on loan with ESTAC Troyes, Marseille, Luton Town, Benfica and Werder Bremen over the years, gaining a good level of experience against strong opponents. Kabore offers his services as either a full-back or wing-back, but he’s at his best when given the freedom two get up and down the flanks, putting his athleticism to use.

Be it as a permanent addition or a loan, the Burkina Faso international would be a worthwhile signing for both ITFC and LCFC.

While Kabore would be a good player for either side to sign, it can be argued that neither Ipswich Town or Leicester City need a right-back.

Kieran McKenna has seen Ashley Young added to his ranks this summer, joining Ben Johnson and the currently injured Harry Clarke in the ranks. As for the Foxes, Marti Cifuentes can call upon Ricardo Pereira or Woyo Coulibaly.
Hamza Choudhury can fill in there and has done early on this season, so they have bodies even after James Justin’s move to Leeds United.
It could make a move elsewhere more appealing for both Kabore and Manchester City, with a higher chance of locking down a starting spot at a club where there is less competition.
