Report: player agent confirms Senegalese striker departure in 48 hours

Chelsea are nearing a sale for out-of-favour striker Nicolas Jackson. Bavarian giants Bayern Munich are close to securing the services of the player. Aston Villa, too, have been heavily linked with a move for the Blues striker.

Latest report emerging from Goal.com claims that Nicolas Jackson is on course to join Vincent Kompany and Bayern in the German Bundesliga. The lanky striker has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge with the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap this summer.

The overall developments have left Jackson with no choice but to seek a new chapter in his football journey with his dodgy disciplinary record the forward has made his spell in West London tougher than is should have been. With the transfer window only a handful of days away from conclusion, Bayern Munich will need to act swiftly in order to seal the deal.

The transfer details

The Senegalese striker has been subject to interest from several clubs this summer. However, the fate of his future is ready to be sealed in the coming days, with Bayern on course to complete negotiations with Chelsea. The Munich-based team are seeking to bolster their attacking options with the addition of a proven striker to their squad to back up Harry Kane.

Bayern Munich have already agreed personal terms with the player and will now have to cross another hurdle when they try to persuade the Blues to make a deal. The Bavarians are not convinced by the extremely high asking price Chelsea expects at £70 million, and will insist on a temporary arrangement.

What has Nicolas Jackson’s agent said?

Amidst the extensive media coverage of Jackson’s move to Germany, the player’s agent, Diomansy Kamara, has clarified a few things about the lanky forward. The agent has confirmed that the player is headed for the exit doors at Stamford Bridge, and an announcement could be expected in the next 48 hours. Diomansy Kamara has been quoted as saying –

“30 goals in two seasons, without a single penalty. Highs, lows…but a page is turning at the Blues. Always grateful for yesterday, but already looking toward tomorrow, with optimism. Germany, Italy, England: the options are numerous, the decision is imminent. Thank you for the support, we see your messages…Nicolas Jackson, transfer expected within 48 hours”

The agent was also sharp in highlighting that, despite being Chelsea’s number one choice in attack for the past two seasons, Jackson’s case has not been treated with all fairness.

The Blues are set to play host to Fulham this weekend, with some transfer business left for the last minutes. Axel Diasi is another player who has received his marching orders and will soon seal his exit to Bournemouth it seems.
