Hugo Viana seems to be working hard behind the scenes to trim Manchester City’s squad down before next Monday’s summer transfer deadline day draws to a close.
As things stand, there is a feeling of uncertainty surrounding a few players’ respective futures at the Etihad Stadium.
One of them is Manuel Akanji, who has been targeted by Bayer Leverkusen, Galatasaray and Crystal Palace.
Savinho’s future is directly linked to Rodrygo and he will only be sold to Tottenham if City are able to sign his countryman.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has now revealed that Kabore has also emerged as a late-window target for the likes of Leicester City, Paris FC and Hamburg.
While Manchester City are open to loaning him out, they would prefer to sell the 24-year-old permanently.

Why Pep Guardiola said ‘I love you’ to Issa Kabore
Since he signed for City in 2020, the Burkinabe international has headed out on several loan spells.
Mechelen, Troyes, Marseille, Luton Town, Benfica and Werder Bremen have all given Kabore a chance to impress.
Pep Guardiola also had a chance to take a close look at the defender before the start of last season, who can play as a right-back and a right wing-back.
As Kabore made a foray into the box to try and score a goal, Guardiola was full of praise for the full-back due to his desire to do so while overseeing a small-sided game in training.
The Catalan screamed during an episode of ‘Inside City’: “Issa, you are a full-back and you want to score a goal, I love you! Why not? Why not?”
However, despite Pep Guardiola singling Kabore out for praise, it seems likely that he could be playing his football for Leicester City, Hamburg or Paris FC on loan or on permanently this season.
