Manchester United sent a clear-cut message to Premier League rivals Chelsea about their firm asking price over a transfer for Red Devils exile Alejandro Garnacho.
Alejandro Garnacho has not been part of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford after the pair fell out during Manchester United’s 2024-25 Premier League season.
The 21-year-old Red Devils winger has been frozen out of the United first team and Garnacho was left out of the pre-season tour of the United States and Europe.
Garnacho has not featured in the opening two Premier League matches of the season and the Spain-born attacker has been searching for a new club this summer.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with Garnacho, who was previously on Napoli’s radar, and the Blues are considered the favourites to land the United outcast.
Garnacho is believed to be keen on remaining in England and prefers a move to London, despite attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

Man Utd’s transfer price tag for Alejandro Garnacho and where Chelsea stand on their valuation
Alejandro Garnacho is under contract with Manchester United until 2028 and the Red Devils are eager to optimise as much of a transfer fee as possible for the winger.
According to The Guardian, United have slapped a £50m price tag on Chelsea-linked Garnacho and the Red Devils have currently refused to budge on their asking price.
United would benefit through pure profits on the sale of youth academy product Garnacho due to the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
However, the newspaper reported that Chelsea have valued Garnacho at around £35m and the Blues are only willing to nudge ever so slightly on the transfer fee.
It has been claimed that the Premier League club could be willing to agree to £40m, including add-ons, if they need to seal the deal from United over Garnacho.

Man Utd told Chelsea about Alejandro Garnacho’s £50m transfer price tag by using two important examples
The Guardian revealed that a ‘key factor’ for United’s current valuation of Garnacho has included other Premier League transfers in the summer window.
England winger Noni Madueke left Chelsea and signed for Arsenal in July for an initial fee of £48.5m, which could rise to above £50m if add-ons are met.
Former United talent Anthony Elanga also completed a transfer to Newcastle from Nottingham Forest in a £55m deal in the same month as Noni Madueke’s move.
According to reports, both Madueke and Anthony Elanga have highlighted United’s desire to hit a £50m fee for Garnacho, despite their need to offload the player.
It has been claimed that United have even ‘pointed out to Chelsea’ that Elanga and Madueke’s ‘statistics are inferior to Garnacho’s’ amid their transfer negotiations.
