Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes could leave the English Premier League club, as the Red Devils ‘might be prepared’ to entertain offers for the 30-year-old midfielder. The good news for United fans, however, is that Fernandes is set to complete the 2025-26 season in England, and the club would listen to offers for the Portuguese only in the 2026 summer window.
Fernandes was [linked heavily with Saudi Pro League team](https://www.firstpost.com/sports/football-news/manchester-united-bruno-fernandes-al-hilal-saudi-pro-league-ruben-amorim-transfer-rumours-13886843.html) Al-Hilal, but he turned down that offer to stay back at Manchester United as the club has launched a new mission to revamp the fortunes of the once EPL giant under manager Ruben Amorim.
So far, United have one point from two matches in the Premier League and their last 1-1 draw against Fulham brought fresh criticism for their lacklustre performance. This has led to speculation that Fernandes could leave Man United [before the transfer window closes](https://www.firstpost.com/sports/football-news/bruno-fernandes-saudi-arabia-transfer-al-ittihad-manchester-united-13927685.html) on 1 September.
**Fernandes to stay at Man United till end of 2025-26 season?**
---------------------------------------------------------------
_The Daily Mail_ has refuted these claims and added that Fernandes is open to leaving Manchester United, but at the end of the 2025-26 season. The United skipper doesn’t want to make any move that hampers his chances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
But after the 2025-26 season ends, he would be willing to listen to offers from Saudi clubs and also those from MLS in the USA or Canada.
The report added that a move to other major European clubs is also a possibility, but everything will depend on the type of offers Fernandes receives at the end of the ongoing season. Also, United, who were desperate to hold onto Fernandes, would be willing to listen to offers after this season, when the midfielder would be 31.
Fernandes is currently on a £280,000-a-week contract at Manchester United, but his contract ends in 2027. The Red Devils have an option to extend it by 12 months.
Interestingly, besides Al-Hilal, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad have also shown interest in Fernandes.
