Sweden manager Jon Dahl Tomasson has admitted that former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelöf has been left upset as his failure to find a new club means he’s missing from the next international break.
[Fotboll Skanalen](https://www.fotbollskanalen.se/sverige/har-ar-jon-dahl-tomassons-trupp-till-vm-kvalet/) cover comments from the Sweden boss today after he named his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Kosovo.
Lindelöf is not a part of the group that has been named, a surprising omission given he’s been Sweden captain for some time.
The decision has been made because the centre-back is yet to find himself a new club after leaving Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer.
He’s been linked with various sides across Europe since leaving Manchester United and a report yesterday even brought Everton and Brentford into the mix. It does, though, appear that Everton have been rebuffed by the 31-year-old for the time being.
He remains without a club as a result and that means he’ll be missing from the next international break, something that Tomasson admits the defender is less than happy about.
_“He is not available,”_ he said when asked about his captain’s absence.
_“We have had good communication. But he has no club. Hopefully he will get a club soon. He is very upset, and I am very upset, but we can’t do anything about it._
_“I would have loved to have Victor with me, concludes.”_
