Ceballos to Marseille, West Ham eye Victor: Latest transfer news and rumours today

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has reportedly given the green light to a move to Marseille.

The Spain international's future has been the subject of much speculation during this summer's transfer window, with a number of clubs believed to be interested in signing the central midfielder.

However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Marseille are now at the head of the queue, and the Ligue 1 outfit are in a strong position when it comes to a potential deal.

Romano claims that a loan with an obligation to buy is being discussed, with the French team paying under €15m (£13m) to sign him on a permanent basis during next summer's transfer window.

Ceballos, 29, has two years left to run on his contract at Bernabeu, and he is set to leave in search of regular action at this stage of his career.

The midfielder made the move to Real Madrid from Real Betis in the summer of 2017, and he has represented the capital giants on 194 occasions in all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering 16 assists in the process.

West Ham 'revive interest' in Botafogo's Victor

Meanwhile, West Ham United are allegedly attempting to sign Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor before this summer's transfer window closes for business.

The Hammers have already brought in Mads Hermansen from Leicester City this summer, but the goalkeeper has made a shaky start to his career at the London Stadium.

According to talkSPORT, Victor, who was linked with West Ham earlier this summer, is back on the London club's radar, with a deal possible before the end of the market.

The report claims that Graham Potter's side are working to sign Victor on loan, with the option to make the move permanent during next summer's transfer window.

The 29-year-old has also been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.

Victor impressed for Botafogo at the recent Club World Cup, and West Ham allegedly view him as a player capable of putting major pressure on Hermansen for the gloves.

Everton 'fail' with offer for West Ham's Soucek

Staying with West Ham, the Hammers have allegedly turned down an offer from Everton for Tomas Soucek.

The Czech Republic international made the move to the London Stadium from Slavia Prague in 2020, and he has represented his current side on 248 occasions, scoring 42 goals and registering 13 assists in the process.

Soucek has already made three appearances for the Hammers this term, and he is viewed as a vital part of the team by West Ham head coach Graham Potter.

According to talkSPORT, Everton boss David Moyes is keen on a reunion with Soucek, with the pair thought to have an excellent relationship from the former's time in charge of the capital outfit.

However, the report claims that Everton have seen a bid for the 30-year-old turned down.

Last season, Soucek scored nine goals and registered two assists in 35 Premier League appearances.
