Which former Rutgers players in NFL made cut for active roster for 2025 season?

Rutgers will have plenty of representation in the NFL once again this fall.

As NFL teams trimmed their rosters down to 53 men by Tuesday evening’s deadline, multiple former Scarlet Knights made the cut across the league.

Here is where former Rutgers football players landed after the deadline:

Bears Chiefs Football

Isiah Pacheco (Chiefs)

The star running back is a staple in Kansas City, where he won two Super Bowls in his first three seasons.

Christian Izien (Buccaneers)

The defensive back has earned a prominent role in Tampa Bay under Todd Bowles.

Bo Melton (Packers)

After making a successful transition to cornerback from wide receiver, Melton has earned a spot in the secondary rotation in Green Bay.

Max Melton (Cardinals)

The cornerback will look to take a step forward after a solid rookie season in Arizona.

Andrew DePaola (Vikings)

The longest tenured Scarlet Knight in the NFL is back for another year.

Kyle Monangai (Bears)

The rookie is expected to play a key part in Chicago’s running back rotation behind starter D’Andre Swift.

Eric Rogers (Chargers)

The defensive back made it onto Jim Harbaugh’s roster after a standout pair of preseason games.

Jonah Jackson (Bears)

The offensive lineman will look to bounce back from a rough year in Los Angeles.

Michael Burton (Broncos)

The fullback is entering his 11th season in the NFL.

Sebastian Joseph-Day (Titans)

The defensive tackle is in his second season with Tennessee.

Christian Braswell (Jaguars)

The defensive back hangs on for a third season in Jacksonville.

Jude McAtamney (Giants)

The kicker enters his second season with New York. He spent much of the 2024 campaign on the practice squad.

Travis Vokolek (Cardinals)

The tight end is staying in Arizona.

WAIVED, PRACTICE SQUAD CANDIDATES

Dymere Miller

The wide receiver was cut by the Jets, as NJ Advance Media’s Andy Vasquez had projected, on Saturday.

Isaiah Iton

The defensive tackle was waived with an injury designation by the New England Patriots after he suffered a hip injury in the second game of the preseason.

Tre Avery

The cornerback was waived by the 49ers, the Patriots and the Buccaneers in the span of three weeks.

Hollin Pierce

The offensive lineman was the best left tackle at Rutgers in over a decade during his storied, improbable college career, but he was moved to guard by the Philadelphia Eagles before eventually being cut by the Super Bowl champions.

Tyreem Powell

The linebacker was cut by the New Orleans Saints — who signed him as an undrafted free agent — after playing just 19 defensive snaps across three preseason games.

JaQuae Jackson

The wide receiver was banged up for much of training camp, so he did not stick with the Chargers.

Raiqwon O’Neal

The offensive lineman was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Raheem Blackshear

The do-it-all running back was cut by Carolina.

Shaquan Loyal

The safety was waived by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Michael Dwumfour

After being waived by the San Francisco 49ers midway through training camp, he was picked up and waived by the Denver Broncos in less than a week.

Jamree Kromah

The defensive lineman was waived by the Chicago Bears.

Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams

The running back was cut by Carolina.

Shawn Bowman

The tight end was waived by Jacksonville.

Desmond Igbinosun

The defensive back was cut by the Baltimore Ravens.

INJURED RESERVE

Kyonte Hamilton (Texans)

The defensive lineman was placed on injured reserve this week after fracturing an ankle during a training camp practice. He is expected to miss roughly four months of action.

Robert Longerbeam (Ravens)

The cornerback will miss the entire 2025 season due to a torn patella tendon.

FREE AGENT

Gus Edwards

The running back has not signed with any team since he was cut by the Chargers in March.
