FRANKLIN, Tennessee — Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has agreed to a plea deal involving a drunken driving charge that will require him to spend a short time in jail.
According to TMZ, Cutler, 42, pleaded guilty in a court in Williamson County to one count of misdemeanor DUI. A firearms charge was dismissed.
WSMV Channel 4 reports Cutler was sentenced to four days in jail, which he will begin serving on Sept. 29. He also must pay a $350 fine and will be on unsupervised probation for one year.
Cutler also must attend a DUI safety class and his Tennessee driver’s license was revoked, WSMV reports.
In October 2024, Cutler was arrested after he was accused of rear-ending another vehicle. Police said he had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his words. Officers also found two firearms in his vehicle, including a loaded pistol.
Cutler refused field sobriety tests and was transported to a hospital, where a blood sample was taken via warrant.
