Manchester United are facing competition for goalkeeper Senne Lammens as Galatasaray are making moves as well.
That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who reports that a representative authorised by the Turkish club has travelled to Belgium to meet with Antwerp to submit a final offer for the Manchester United target.
According to the journalist’s information, this offer that has been presented has surpassed those put on the table by both Manchester United and Manchester City.
Lammens had looked likely to join Manchester United at some point this week after they had chased his signature for much of the summer.
Reports in England, Belgium and elsewhere all stated that a deal was being done, and they were advancing on the goalkeeper.
However, a report yesterday stated that Galatasaray had made a last-minute attempt to snatch the deal from Manchester United’s hands.
Sabuncuoğlu backs that up, reporting that a representative authorised by the Turkish champions travelled to Belgium to meet with Antwerp and submit a final offer for Lammens. That offer is surpassed the one made by Manchester United.
It now remains to be seen what happens, with the final decision likely to be the goalkeeper’s to make. Belgian reports have stated he’s keen on the Red Devils, but they may want to rush to complete a deal as Galatasaray muscle in.
