Aston Villa have announced a new ticketing offer for the Europa League league phase matches.
President of Business Operations Francesco Calvo has introduced a discount for season ticket holders and members who purchase all four home tickets for the league phase. Eligible fans will be able to secure a four-match bundle at a 20% discount.
“We are proud to play in European competitions, but at the same time we are aware of how much it costs supporters to passionately support their team, so we wanted to reward the loyalty of those who are planning on attending all four games,” Calvo said.
“I’m sure everyone is excited for the draw on Friday afternoon. I’m well aware of how special the atmosphere is at Villa Park on European nights, and we are looking forward to what is hopefully another exciting European campaign for the club."
Back in May, Villa confirmed that, as part of their efforts to make access to games fairer and more accessible, they would introduce new ticketing categories for this campaign.
The ranking of categories does not indicate pricing levels - Category 1 or 2 is not necessarily more expensive than Category 3 or 4. Villa’s Europa League games fall under Category 2 (league phase) and Category 1 (knockout stages).
For individual tickets, adult season ticket holders will pay:
£67 for Price Zone 1
£61 for Price Zone 2
£57 for Price Zone 3
£55 for Price Zone 4
Non-season ticket holders will pay £10 more per ticket in each respective price zone.
However, adult season ticket holders who purchase the four-match bundle will pay:
£214 in Price Zone 1
£195 in Price Zone 2
£182 in Price Zone 3
£176 in Price Zone 4
Last year, former President of Business Operations Chris Heck came under scrutiny for the pricing of the club’s Champions League league phase matches. Adult season ticket holders were charged £79 or £70 per game, depending on their price zone, while non-season ticket holders paid £94 or £85.
As a result, adults in Price Zone 1 can now pay £102 less to watch four Europa League games compared to the Champions League equivalent last season, while those in Price Zone 4 save up to £140.
UEFA has confirmed that the Europa League league phase draw will take place at midday (12:00pm) on Friday, 29 August, in Monaco.
