Crystal Palace reach agreement to sign 22-year-old versatile Spanish attacker, details revealed

Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace reportedly have an agreement in place to sign Villarreal attacking sensation Yeremy Pino.

According to an update by reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Yeremy Pino is set to join Crystal Palace in the coming days, as there is a verbal agreement in place between all parties regarding the move. The Eagles will be paying in excess of €30 million to sign the Villarreal winger.

Pino joined the Yellow Submarine’s youth setup back in 2019. He started off with their C team, and in just 12 months’ time, he got promoted to the first team. The 22-year-old has only gone from strength to strength since.

He has been involved in a total of 170 matches and has contributed towards 45 goals. He has become one of their mainstays, and his impressive performances have made him a regular feature in Spain’s national team.

The right winger has started the new season in fine fashion with a goal in his two outings. With just two years left on his deal, his future has been a big talking point. Multiple top clubs have been linked with him, but Crystal Palace have been the most serious suitor since the start.

Following the departure of Eberechi Eze, the Eagles are looking to use the funds raised to bolster their attack. They want more quality on the flanks, and Pino has been their top target for the role.

Palace sign Pino

After lengthy negotiations with Villarreal, the Premier League side have finally reached an agreement to sign him. According to Romano, all parties have settled on a verbal agreement for the move to go through.

The Eagles will pay €30 million up front plus add-ons to sign the 22-year-old. Pino had already given the green light to the move, as he seemed excited by the opportunity to play in the Premier League. He is all set to sign a long-term deal at his new club.

With everything in place, both clubs will now look to exchange documents before the player gets the green light to undergo a medical at his new club.

While the majority of Pino’s appearances last season came on the right flank, he is capable enough to feature on either flank. His versatility will certainly come in handy, and on top of that, he could become one of their mainstays in the long run.
