Leeds United tipped for shock £15m swoop for Championship winger

Leeds United are in the hunt for attacking players going into the final few days of the transfer window. The manager wants more quality in the final third, and the club are aiming to bring in at least two more players before the September 1st transfer deadline.

The Yorkshire giants have bolstered their attacking options with three new players – Lukas Nmecha, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor this summer. However, all three players have had fitness concerns in recent seasons, and Calvert-Lewin looked short of sharpness against Sheffield Wednesday.

Daniel Farke wants to add two more forwards to his squad before the end of the window. A striker is believed to be on his agenda, but the Leeds boss also wants a winger who can play as a number 10 behind the forward.

Leeds are considering rekindling their interest in Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss, and have enquired about former Chelsea and Tottenham forward Timo Werner in the ongoing window.

Leeds United tipped to sign West Brom winger Tom Fellows

Premier League commentator Ian Darke has urged Leeds United to seriously consider a late-window move for West Brom winger Tom Fellows ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.

The young winger has been turning heads in the Championship and seems primed for a big move to the Premier League.

He stressed that Fellows has the skills to shine in the Premier League, and it’s a kind of deal Leeds could get done this late in the window, as he would be keen to join a Premier League club.

“The clock is ticking, and a player I would be looking at if I were Leeds is a player that I saw at the weekend, is the kid at West Brom, Tom Fellows, a good right winger who can go either way”, Darke told MOT Leeds News.

“Somebody like that might be a deal that they can get done, late on in the window. Baggies fans wouldn’t thank me for even suggesting it.”

Fellows would be an interesting choice

Farke has been insisting on the importance of Premier League experience, and the likes of Sean Longstaff and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were signed for that purpose.

Making a move for Fellows would be a departure from that idea, but he is a solid young winger who looks ready to make the jump in the Premier League.

Several Premier League clubs have been monitoring the West Brom winger, and he could leave the Baggies before the end of the transfer window.

An offer worth £15m could convince West Brom to cash in on Fellows in the coming days.
