Report: Eagles linked with swoop for Nelson

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are in talks with Reiss Nelson over a £15 million move.

The winger is deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates and has been made available for transfer. Fulham had explored the possibility of a second season-long loan, this time with an obligation to buy, but appear to have been overtaken by Palace, who are flush with cash following Arsenal’s recent purchase of Eberechi Eze.

Nelson is one of five players Andrea Berta is looking to move on before Monday’s 7pm transfer deadline. Jakub Kiwior looks closest to the exit, with Porto putting together a €26 million loan-to-buy package. Should that deal be completed, Arsenal intend to replace him with Bayer Leverkusen’s Ecuador international Piero Hincapie.

Elsewhere, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira are also weighing up their options. Stuttgart had shown interest in Vieira, but that has since gone quiet, while Zinchenko and Lokonga have been linked with moves to Turkey – rumours we’re struggling to believe.

Arsenal can register 25 players in their Premier League squad, of which 17 don’t have to fit the “Home Grown Player” criteria. A club’s under-21 players are not included on the 25-man squad lists, but remain eligible to play in the competition, so long as they are over 15 before 1st September 2025.

As things stand, Arsenal have one player who couldn’t be registered on Monday. A move for Nelson would resolve that. Hincapie could only join if someone else left.
