Even if you have just a passing interest in transfers it will have been impossible to ignore the Real Betis and Antony saga this summer. The Spanish club took the Brazilian on loan from Manchester United in January and have been trying to get him back by offering very little in return.
Even that isn’t as laughable as some of the things being reported about Betis and West Ham’s Guido Rodríguez. The midfielder left Betis in 2024 when his contract expired and media close to the club report that if he wants to return this summer he’ll need to convince West Ham to let him go for free, and then accept a salary lower than the renewal offer he rejected last year.
Now there’s another club in the mix for the 31-year-old. Turin newspaper [Tuttosport](https://www.tuttosport.com/news/calcio/calciomercato/2025/08/27-142792177/guido_rodriguez_comolli_ci_pensa_e_pu_cambiare_tutto_perch_la_juve_cerca_il_campione_del_mondo) report the West Ham midfielder is an option for Juventus. There’s a belief he’s unhappy at the Premier League club and Juventus sporting director Damien Comolli is considering a move.
Rodríguez’s value is put at around €10m, which sounds like a better potential offer than what Betis were conjuring up.
