Middlesbrough have joined the race for Hull City ‘keeper Ivor Pandur who has interest from the Premier League and Serie A, according to Alan Nixon via his Patreon.
Middlesbrough have made a strong start to their Championship campaign as they look ahead to a promising new chapter under Rob Edwards. The promotion-winning manager arrived earlier this summer, taking over from Michael Carrick.
Although the opening weeks of the transfer window brought little movement on Teesside, business has picked up in recent days, and more additions are expected. After Mark Travers’ loan ended at the end of last season, it was always likely that Boro would look for a new goalkeeper.

One player reportedly attracting their interest is Hull City man Ivor Pandur. According to reporter Alan Nixon, via his Patreon, Boro are ready to buy Pandur in the final days of this transfer window.
Pandur has plenty of interest in him as we close in on deadline day. Several Premier League sides are interested in the 25-year-old, including West Ham United, as well as clubs from Serie A, as per a separate report from Tutto Mercato Web.

West Ham have already picked up a goalkeeper from the Championship this summer. Former Leicester City man Mads Hermansen has made the switch to London, and rumours of another move for John Victor are picking up again, so Boro may have a chance to swoop in for Pandur.

It does not seem that Pandur is desperate to leave Hull City as things stand. The player is said to be happy at the MKM Stadium and could easily be offered a new deal to stay with the Tigers.

Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic has told BBC Humberside Sport: “He has offers. We will see but I think he will stay this season. He wants to stay. We spoke. This is normal, this is the reason why I cannot wait for the transfer period to finish. 1st September, I cannot wait. Last day, some of the players can make transfers. This is the problem for our coaches.”
Last season, Pandur was a standout player for Hull City, winning the Player of the Season award. It is no surprise he has so many suitors after such a good campaign.

Can Hull City afford to lose Pandur?
Hull City will be keen to keep hold of Pandur beyond the transfer deadline on Monday, 1st September, as his departure would force them to source a replacement.
The Tigers have already added Dillon Phillips as cover ahead of the new campaign, with the goalkeeper joining as a free agent following his exit from League One side Rotherham United.
Given their transfer restrictions, they could be limited in terms of options to replace Pandur. It would surely have to be a very good offer to let him go.
