Brighton vs Manchester City Predicted Lineups

Red Light: Confident the player will not start.

Brighton Predicted Lineup:

Brighton Team News:

Wieffer and De Cuyper have a stranglehold on the full-back spots for now. De Cuyper at £4.5m, and he is on set pieces, is very attractive.

Baleba will be staying at Brighton this season after strong rumours that United were making a push to sign him, but Brighton’s asking price was too high for United this summer. Ayari seems to be his favoured partner through 2 games although Hinshelwood and Gomez will rotate in some weeks.

Hurzeler confirmed that Hinshelwood simply was not ready to feature in GW1, but he has been back in team training for some time and he should be ready to feature off the bench in GW2. He becomes an option not only in central midfield but also at right-back.

Rutter suffered a minor knock that kept him out of GW2 but the hope is he is fit for this Sunday. Welbeck started in his place and will again if Rutter is not fit to start.

Man City Predicted Lineup:

Man City Team News:

With a couple of sub-par performances and strong rumours Donnarumma is going to join Man City, Trafford’s place as starting GK is up in the air and there are rumours he will join Besiktas on loan.

Ederson returns to the squad in GW2 and could start in GW3.

I thought against a much better and more physical Spurs team, Nunes would start at right-back in GW2. Pep opted for Rico Lewis instead and that experiment did not go well. He was bullied and played a poor game.

Gvardiol has returned to training but Pep confirmed Friday that he is out for GW2. Whether he is fit and ready to go for GW3 we shall see later in the week.

Marmoush vs Bobb vs Doku for 2 winger spots is going to be one to watch who performs best and who Pep prefers for certain match-ups.

Savinho is still rumoured to favour a transfer to Spurs and a deal is still being negotiated. He won’t feature.

Foden and Rodri both returned against Spurs in cameos off the bench which is a good sign for their ability to maybe start in GW3. Rodri has a greater chance than Foden because he is the better player of course and has less top competition for his starting place.
