Wolverhampton Wanderers have reached an agreement with Getafe to sign midfielder Christantus Uche for €22m.
That’s [according to El Chiringuito](https://x.com/elchiringuitotv/status/1960702454372122965), who report that there is now an agreement in place between the two sides following developments this week.
Wolves have been chasing Uche’s signature and progressed their interest this week, with reports that they were set to submit a bid for him.
That’s sparked various meetings at the Spanish side, with both the president of the club and the player’s agent speaking to the press outside of the ground at various points, mostly to El Chiringuito.
Indeed, it led to something of a humorous exchange earlier today where the president insisted he had not been speaking to Uche’s agent today, but the latter said otherwise, joking that the president must have met with someone who looked like him instead.
Well, it seems a meeting of some sort has happened because the same outlet now report that Wolves and Getafe have reached an agreement on a €22m deal.
That’s a big step forward, but they say the player is yet to agree to the move to Molineux at this stage. It would be surprising if that doesn’t come quickly, though, and this deal is wrapped up at some point soon by Wolves.
