Wolves are set to table a bid to sign Racing Genk star Tolu Arokodare as a replacement for Jorgen Strand Larsen after rejecting a second Newcastle bid for the Norwegian, according to Belgian outlet HLN.
The 25-year-old Norway international has become a major story in the final days of the transfer window after the Magpies started to push for his signature, with a second bid worth £55m rejected late on Tuesday night.
David Ornstein has reported that Strand Larsen wants to join Newcastle this summer but won't agitate for a move, and it has now emerged that Wolves are plotting a move for a new striker who could come in as his replacement.

Wolves don't want to sell Strand Larsen but the money being offered is forcing them to consider a deal, and that has led the Molineux club to look at options to replace him, and they have landed on Nigerian international Arokodare.
The 24-year-old, who has been described as 'powerful', had been expected to leave Genk this summer amid interest from several clubs, with the Belgian side setting a £20m asking price after he top-scored for them with 23 goals in 2024/25.
Wolves are now ready to push ahead with a deal and are set to make an offer to Genk to sign him, and an agreement is expected to be found soon. So much so, that while Arokodare was due to start in their next fixture on Thursday night, he is now likely to be withdrawn from the squad.
Genk have already signed Arokodare's replacement and are more than open to letting him go, which would make things much easier for Wolves to strike a deal.
Wolves are willing to offer around £20m to get a deal over the line, but Genk are currently holding out for £21.5m including add-ons, which means this is a transfer that looks very much on the cards and is one to keep an eye on in the coming days.
