Packers-Cowboys trade pitch for Micah Parsons would satisfy Jerry Jones

Micah Parsons is the final hold-in that has yet to be resolved this Summer.

Trey Hendrickson and the Cincinnati Bengals were able to come to terms on a raise for the upcoming season, and Terry McLaurin and the Washington Commanders finally settled on a three-year extension. That leaves only the Dallas Cowboys and Parsons in their messy contract negotiations.

With the Cowboys' opening day matchup against the reigning champion Philadelphia Eagles almost a week away, it's beginning to feel like the Penn State product won't be suited up, and maybe it's time for Jerry Jones and company to start entertaining trade offers for their premier pass rusher.

Packers Blockbuster Offer for Micah Parsons

The Green Bay Packers are a team who have been rumored to be eyeing Parsons from afar, with some sources even claiming they have a trade offer [on the table.](https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/green-bay-packers-rumors/69981/packers-trade-rumors-micah-parsons-cowboys-fresh-speculation-trade-offer)

Regardless, Freddie Boston of lombardiave.com recently proposed a trade idea that "is so bold that even Jerry Jones couldn't refuse it."

Green Bay Packers receive: Edge Micah Parsons

Dallas Cowboys receive: Edge Rashan Gary, 2026 first-round pick, 2026 third-round pick, 2027 first-round pick

With a former Pro-Bowl player and three premium draft picks, Jones would be hard-pressed to hang up the phone on Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst.

"Gary is nowhere near Parsons' level, but at his best, he's a game-changer." [Wrote](https://lombardiave.com/packers-micah-parsons-trade-idea-could-actually-break-jerry-jones-resolve) Boston. "The 2019 first-round pick has 32 sacks, 77 quarterback hits, and 31 tackles for loss over his past 59 games. It's an impressive record. Gary is also coming off his first Pro Bowl season."

Even if Dallas feels they can't replace Parsons' production, they have draft capital to work with for either the future or if they want to try and be aggressive to improve their team before the trade deadline.

If Dallas and Parsons can't find a way to meet in the middle, a trade may have to be considered to recoup value on what is a pivotal Cowboys season.
