Jayden Daniels, starting quarterback for the Washington Commanders, is more than happy that wide receiver Terry McLaurin managed to bag such a juicy contract extension with the team. McLaurin, who has been in a holdout with the team for quite some time, managed to land a pretty impressive three-year extension worth $96 million.
Daniels and McLaurin managed to create a strong bond with each other, both on and off the field, during the brief period of time that they both played in the team. While Daniels has only been with the Commanders since the previous NFL season, the wide receiver has been playing for Washington since 2019. Daniels reacted to McLaurin’s extension with an Instagram post.

“Lemme hold some money.” Jayden Daniels wrote in his Instagram post, while sharing a graphic of Terry McLaurin’s new contract with the Washington Commanders.
Not only Jayden Daniels, but his mother and manager, Regina Jackson, also reacted to Terry McLaurin’s contract extension with a positive message. McLaurin has been showing up to rain sessions with the Washington Commanders, but has not exactly been training with the team. If McLaurin had indeed moved out of the team, the Commanders would have definitely struggled with Daniels losing a strong partner on the field.
Jayden Daniels Talks About Age-Gaps In The Commanders Locker Room
On another note, Jayden Daniels recently discussed the large age gap that he and other Commanders players face in an interview. Daniels is definitely one of the youngest in the locker room, being only 24 years old. However, having such a young quarterback on the team is pretty solid for the other players, according to Daniels.

“I think they like being around me because I keep them young.”Jayden Daniels said in a recent interview.
The Washington Commanders’ starting quarterback also admitted that he feels the age gap when he speaks with linebacker Bobby Wagner. Daniels revealed that he has had to explain Gen Z terms to Wagner, such as “aura-farming”.
“I think the word was aura-farming. You know, all of the stuff, slang, that nowadays our generation uses. That be the main thing, Bobby said, ‘Y’all an odd generation.’ So, we gotta explain stuff.”Daniels added.
Jayden Daniels will be playing his second season with the Washington Commanders this time out. Daniels’ debut season in the NFL was spectacular, with the young quarterback managing to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year title in the previous campaign.
