Fabrizio Romano has shared the latest developments on Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford amid speculation already doing the rounds about his future at the club.
Manchester City signed James Trafford earlier this summer, but his poor display in Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur has raised questions about his suitability for the No. 1 role.
In addition, Man City are now in talks with Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has been frozen out at Paris Saint-Germain.
This has led to a report claiming Besiktas have made contact with City over a loan move for Trafford, and Fabrizio Romano has now weighed in with an update.

However, Romano has taken to X to claim that there is nothing in the reports, adding that Trafford is fully part of Man City’s plans this season.
This will be the case even if Donnarumma joins the Citizens, added Romano.
“Reports on James Trafford and Besiktas loan are completely wide of the mark,” wrote the Italian.
“No talks, no discussions, no chance as Trafford is fully part of #MCFC plans even if Gigio Donnarumma joins the club.”

The Manchester City player James Trafford can take inspiration from
Trafford was the talk of the town after his solid debut against Wolves and, considering his award-winning efforts for Burnley, he’s clearly a capable keeper.
Indeed, Oasis star Noel Gallagher sung Trafford’s praises after the Wolves game, suggesting Man City didn’t even need Donnarumma.
However, things didn’t go to plan for most of City’s players against Tottenham, and as we all know, a mistake in goal is magnified much more than an outfielder’s error.
Even the best and most experienced players in the world can make mistakes, so there’s no doubt Trafford will bounce back from this.
He should take inspiration from Abdukodir Khusanov, whose debut against Chelsea last season was very much a baptism of fire, but he duly kicked on and won the fans over.
Indeed, Man City fans are now wondering what Khusanov needs to do to get game time, saying he would have made a difference had he played against Spurs.
