Former Bucks forward hoping to make return to NBA

A former Buck is looking to make his NBA return.

Over the past several seasons, the Milwaukee Bucks have had no shortage of interesting names on the roster. Looking to provide any boost possible to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s hopes of winning another title, the Bucks haven’t been afraid to make some intriguing moves.

One of the Bucks’ most interesting moves was in 2024 when they added Danilo Gallinari. While there wasn’t much of a plan for Gallinari once he got to Milwaukee, it was still interesting to see what might have been his final stop in the league.

Looking for another shot

Throughout his career, Gallinari has been a consistent scoring forward and a knockdown shooter, especially in the latter stages of his NBA journey. While not everything has always gone according to plan for Gallinari, especially after tearing his ACL in 2022, he could still make it back onto an NBA court in the near future, something he recently explained to Iacopo De Santis.

"Hopefully, I always hope so,” [Gallinari said](https://x.com/iacopodesantis/status/1959675716695630080). “If I were to return, it would be as a veteran, kind of like insurance for a franchise. I wouldn’t play much and would serve as a helpful presence.”

While Gallinari was always a steady contributor throughout his time in the league, he was almost never playing for a true contender. Considering his best days as a player are behind him, he understands that he could transition into a more valuable player for what he can provide to a team off the floor.

Although there is no guarantee that he will suit up for an NBA team again, Gallinari might still have something to give to the right squad.
