The Los Angeles Lakers have their sights set on going all the way in 2025-26.
The front office has been working hard, putting together a strong roster with multiple stars.
But who is the most important of them all?
Luka Doncic recently spoke about his team and said that LeBron James is vital to the team’s success.
According to Doncic, James doesn’t just help his teammates; he helps everyone affiliated with the Lakers.
“[LeBron James’] is one of the best basketball players ever, just for him being there is going to help all of us. Not just me, but every player, all the staff, he’s going to help us win because he knows what to do to win,” Doncic said.

There is no doubt that if the Lakers earn another title this year, or come close, it’ll be partly because of James.
Even as he passes 40 years old, he is one of the most impactful players in the league and consistently pushes his Lakers where they need to go.
There isn’t a single position that James can’t play, and age seems to hardly slow him down.
As he gets older, he becomes even more consequential for his team because of the way he inspires and guides the other players in purple in gold.
He does a lot more than simply score or pass the ball.
The Lakers were granted a gift when they received Doncic last season, but they need to capitalize on that.
The fans want to see them earn another championship, and Doncic could help make that happen.
But he and everyone else know that James remains a vital, central part of this team, and it’ll stay that way until he retires.
