The Milwaukee Bucks missed out on Lithuanian guard Augustus Marcilulionis, as he signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Los Angeles Lakers after considering offers from both teams.
Marcilulionis played collegiately at Saint Mary’s, where he broke out in his senior season in 2024-25, averaging 14.2 points, and 5.9 assists per game.

He saw his draft stock take a considerable hit after suffering a foot injury prior to the draft, and will now have a chance to make the Lakers in training camp.
When asked by [Vaidas Jukavicius of BasketNews](https://basketnews.com/news-229766-augustas-marciulionis-explains-why-he-chose-lakers-over-bucks.html) why he chose the Lakers over the Bucks, Marcilulionis explained his reasoning.
“The attention was similar from both teams,” he said. “But in Los Angeles, there were more people my agent and I knew and trusted. We understood the situation better there. For some reason, LA just felt like the right choice. Still, it wasn't easy because I don't know that much about the NBA environment yet. But we thought this was the best place for me.”
Marcilulionis might have had a decent chance to crack a roster spot with the Bucks given the current state of their roster. Additionally, plenty of uncertainty remains with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future with the team, which could’ve played a role in his decision to join the Lakers. Nonetheless, the Bucks will focus their attention elsewhere for the time being, likely placing their full focus on Antetokounmpo.
