Bournemouth have reached an agreement with Marseille for Hamed Junior Traoré to join the French side on loan.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who report that Traoré is close to returning to Ligue 1 after his successful loan spell at Auxerre last season.
They report that Bournemouth have reached an agreement with Marseille for the midfielder to head there on loan this season. That will include a virtually obligatory purchase clause valued at €7.5m. That can then rise to €15m in future based on various bonuses.
The deal for the midfielder is not yet completed but is way on the way to being resolved. At that point, Traoré will be granted permission by Bournemouth to travel to France and finalise his move to Roberto de Zerbi’s side.
It will be a second straight loan deal in France for Traoré, who impressed while at Auxerre last season. The 25-year-old previously spent time at Napoli as well.
He only joined Bournemouth in 2023 in a €25.62m deal but has never settled on the south coast and is now set to depart again, with Bournemouth clearly going that the deal becomes permanent next summer.
