Supporters' Group Hammers United, who attracted nearly 9,000 to an anti-board march five years ago, are preparing to put boots on the ground once more and protest against David Sullivan and Karren Brady's administration of West Ham United FC - while demanding their immediate resignation.
Back in February 2020, the fans' organisation attracted thousands of disenchanted malcontents to a "stroll" along the Greenway footpath which culminated in a huge demonstration at Stratford. And while the outbreak of Covid a month later prematurely ended any hopes of follow-up events, a simmering discontent has remained boiling below the surface ever since.
And following the club's dreadful start to the 2025/26 season, combined with an ineffective transfer window which has seen the likes of Mohammed Kudus sold to bitter rivals Tottenham and aging free transfer Callum Wilson introduced as a replacement, that discontent has finally boiled over once again with fan group declaring their intention to march once again.
Hammers United are once again expected to head the demonstration, which will be running under the "no more BS!" banner. KUMB understand initial discussions have already taken place with Metropolitan Police, who are expected to green light the protest.
"Under Brady and Sullivan’s stewardship, West Ham United is dying," began a missive published on behalf of Hammers United. "They sold off the Boleyn Ground and moved us to an athletics stadium, voted by many as the worst football ground in the country, which we don’t even own.
"They called us 'customers', not fans, made promises that were never kept and accepted no responsibility for anything. Our training facilities might be embarrassing, but not as embarrassing as the series of PR disasters Brady and Sullivan have walked into head first, humiliating themselves and our club.
"They shrugged their shoulders as thousands of loyal, long term fans walked away in disgust, but still they allow our fans to be treated like second class citizens. We will always support the team, but the regime has had its day."
And Hammers United have promised to involve all representative groups in order to produce a demonstration that, it is hoped, will surpass the numbers attracted to 2020's protest - while promising to continue their campaign until Sullivan and Brady leave their positions.
"Hammers United intends to work with fans’ groups, podcasters, writers, bloggers, journalists, viewers, readers and of course West Ham fans, to deliver a grass roots campaign aimed at bringing the Brady and Sullivan era to an end," the statement continued.
"We are calling on Brady and Sullivan to resign from their executive positions, to have no more involvement in the running of West Ham United, and for the remaining board of directors to appoint competent and professional replacements who will work in the best interests of West Ham United and the fans.
"Until this happens, we will be running the NO MORE BS! campaign."
Details of what Hammers United refer to their "first protest" will be announced this coming Friday, 29 August. You may read the group's full statement on the KUMB Forum.
