Delegation staying for Manchester United transfer talks–Optimism of agreement for exit

This week’s stance on Real Betis trying to bring Antony back to the club is that they’ve had a club delegation in England to convince Manchester United… by still offering a loan.

Betis had wanted to drag the situation out until the end of the window, in the hope the Premier League side would feel under more pressure and then just let the Brazilian return to Seville on the terms dictated there.

This week, though, it’s sounded like Betis are getting impatient, with hints in their local media of an annoyance with Manchester United for not simply agreeing to the deal they’re trying force on them.

ElDesmarque now report the Betis delegation was due to fly home today, but instead all of them expect CEO Ramón – and it’s not clear just how many people have been sent – are remaining in Manchester.

There’s said to be optimism at Betis that a deal can be agreed with Manchester United in the coming days, on the basis of a loan with a potential purchase option.

Whether that’s over-optimism remains to be seen.
