Dan Weiss announced as new radio voice of the San Antonio Spurs

> The San Antonio Spurs today announced that Dan Weiss, who has been with the organization since 2009, will become the radio play-by-play voice of the San Antonio Spurs beginning this upcoming 2025-26 season. Dan has spent the past seven years as the studio host of Spurs Television’s pregame and postgame coverage and now will succeed longtime broadcaster Bill Schoening who retired following the 2024-25 campaign.

> A native of Weston, Massachusetts and graduate of Northeastern University, Dan Weiss joined SS&E in 2009 as the play-by-play voice of the San Antonio Rampage hockey team, a role he held until 2018. During his tenure, he was recognized with the James H. Ellery Award in 2013-14 for outstanding coverage of the American Hockey League and was selected to be part of the NHL Network’s broadcast of the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic. He also contributed to broadcasts for the Austin Spurs and the San Antonio Stars during that time. Prior to his positions in San Antonio, Weiss built an accomplished broadcasting career, serving as the play-by-play voice of the Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Roadrunners, Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and Corpus Christi Ice Rays. He was honored by the ECHL as Broadcaster of the Year in 2005-06.
