It is a tough task keeping track of all of the Chelsea players out on loan this season, however one player made his presence known with a stunning goal in the EFL Cup.
The Blues will find out their third round opponents on Wednesday night after not playing in the second round due to their qualification for the Champions League.
Tuesday night’s games saw Marc Guiu score his first goal for Sunderland as he looks to hit the ground running on what could be a very promising Premier League loan.
However, they were knocked out on penalties by Huddersfield Town, whose own goal came from another of the Chelsea players on loan this season.

Chelsea loanee Leo Castledine scores stunning goal in EFL Cup upset
Leo Castledine has previously made his first team debut for the Blues, and the 20-year-old will be desperate to prove himself to the club he has been with since 2020.
He did just this in the EFL Cup, striking a fine volley from the edge of the box to give the lower league side the lead.
It was not the first upset Huddersfield have pulled off in this competition so far. Castledine helped knock out Leicester City on penalties on his debut.

This is the midfielder’s second spell on loan away from the club, after spending time with Shrewsbury Town last season. His spell there was cut short after Castledine suffered an overuse injury.

Chelsea had change of heart over Castledine
It was reported earlier this summer that Chelsea were set to sell Castledine this summer, bringing an end to his five-year spell at Stamford Bridge.
However, the decision to only send him on loan suggests a change of heart, and an opportunity for the youngster to show there is still a chance for him in West London.
The centre of midfield is a position Chelsea are well stocked in. Andrey Santos has been added this season to a list of high-quality players that includes Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.
The best thing Castledine can do is continue to prove that he is too good to let go, and would come back to haunt the Blues in the future if he did depart.
