Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has made eight changes to his starting side for Wednesday's EFL Cup second-round fixture with League Two outfit Grimsby Town.
Amorim promised to make changes during his pre-match press conference, and the Portuguese has stuck to his word for the League Cup contest at Blundell Park.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding Kobbie Mainoo's future, with the midfielder not playing a minute of Man United's 2025-26 Premier League campaign to date.
However, the 20-year-old comes in for a start against Grimsby, while there is also a spot between the sticks for Andre Onana, who has lost his starting role between the sticks to Altay Bayindir.
Patrick Dorgu, Amad Diallo and Matheus Cunha are the only three players to keep their spots in the side from the Premier League clash with Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
There is a full debut for Benjamin Sesko, who has twice appeared off the bench following a big-money move from RB Leipzig, while Manuel Ugarte also features in central midfield.
It is an all-new back three, with Tyler Fredricson joining Harry Maguire and Ayden Heaven, while Diogo Dalot will feature as the right-sided wing-back for the 20-time English champions.
There could be a first-team debut for summer arrival Diego Leon, who makes the bench, while Joshua Zirkzee will also be bidding to secure his first minutes of the campaign.
As for Grimsby, a strong XI has been selected, with just three changes from the side that started against Accrington Stanley on Saturday afternoon, including a spot at centre-forward for Cameron Gardner.
