Sporting have made yet another push to sign Jota Silva from Nottingham Forest, revising the terms of their proposal in an effort to get the deal over the line.
According to [**Maisfutebol**](https://maisfutebol.iol.pt/mercado/sporting/jota-silva-os-detalhes-da-mais-recente-oferta-de-emprestimo-do-sporting), the Portuguese side are now offering a loan fee of €2m to €3m, depending on performance-related objectives.
The latest approach includes an option to buy at the end of the loan, but crucially, no obligation to make the deal permanent. That remains a sticking point for Forest, who had previously resisted letting the winger go without guarantees.
Still, progress has been made. Jota Silva, a direct request from manager Rui Borges, has already been given the green light to leave the Premier League club.
As we previously reported, the player is fully in favour of a return to Portugal, and more specifically, to join Sporting – the club he reportedly prioritises above other options.
With just days left in the transfer window, Sporting are doing what they can to meet Forest’s conditions while sticking to their own limits.
