Anthony Elanga one of Newcastle United trio called up for international duty as Sweden announce …

**Newcastle United will lose three players to Sweden's international set-up after next week's game against Leeds United.**

Sweden announced their squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying fixtures against Slovenia and Kosovo.

Emil Krafth and Anthony Elanga will be part of the Sweden squad, as will some guy called Alexander Isak, who is apparently on the books at Newcastle United.

Whether he will still be by the time they fly off to link up with the national side remains to be seen.

That's going to be an awkward first training session in Sweden

--------------------------------------------------------------

Alexander Isak hasn't even trained with the Newcastle United squad since their summer camp in Austria, which may make things slightly awkward when Emil Krafth and Anthony Elanga take to the training pitch in Sweden.

Having not kicked a ball in anger since the last game of the season, it's anyone's guess what kind of shape Isak is even in, so it's likely that Viktor Gyokeres will be picked ahead of the Newcastle United rebel.

We understand how his behaviour at Newcastle won't affect his status for Sweden, but even they must realise that he's not going to be anywhere near match fit.

Alexander Isak will be hoping to be a Liverpool player before he turns out for Sweden next month

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There's every chance still that he could be Liverpool's Alexander Isak by the time he heads home anyway, which is hardly going to reduce the awkwardness between him, Elanga and Krafth.

Maybe a nice little high-tackle in training by Krafth wouldn't go amiss.

And if he's a Liverpool player by then, maybe a two-footed one.
