Manchester United don’t have long left in the summer transfer window and are working against the clock to sort out some much important exits. There are a number of players still on the wage book who are nowhere in Ruben Amorim’s plans.

One such player is young Argentinian forward Alejandro Garnacho. The 21-year-old was once touted to be the future of Man Utd’s forward line but the last season has seen his stocks dip massively. He doesn’t seem to be seeing eye-to-eye with Ruben Amorim.

It has been very clear that Garnacho would leave Man Utd this summer. Now, as per [Caught Offside](https://www.caughtoffside.com/2025/08/27/alejandro-garnacho-man-utd-chelsea/), rivals Chelsea and the Red Devils are ready to reach an agreement in the region of around £50million for the sale of Garnacho.

The Blues have been the most interested club in Garnacho’s signature this summer. Despite other clubs, including ones abroad, expressing interest in the Man Utd academy graduate, he seems to have his heart set on a Stamford Bridge move.

Chelsea seem to be showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to making signings. They have already signed a left-winger this summer in Jamie-Bynoe Gittens but look keen to sign Garnacho to provide competition to the Englishman.

For Man Utd fans, the way Garnacho’s time at Old Trafford has played out is quite a shame. He showed a lot of promise when breaking through into the first team under Erik ten Hag. Unfortunately, it did not work out with Amorim.

At 21, Garnacho is still very young and has his whole career ahead of him. It will be interesting to see how his career at Chelsea plays out. The only issue that is prevalent at the London club is the sheer competition for places. Only time will tell how much time the South American gets under Enzo Maresca and if he can reach the heights once envisioned for his career.
