Speculation has been mounting all day over a proposed move for West Ham’s Lucas Paquetá to Tottenham Hotspur.
The latest reports suggest Spurs have made contact with the Brazilian’s representatives about a potential transfer.
However, this morning Claret & Hugh spoke to one of the agents responsible for bringing Paquetá to West Ham and asked directly about the Tottenham links.

We were told there had indeed been interest around two weeks ago, with talk of a deal that would have seen the 27-year-old move to North London and Yves Bissouma heading the other way.

That proposal involved Graham Potter’s former Brighton midfielder joining the Hammers on an initial loan with an option to buy. But the insider was clear: “There was a deal proposed two weeks ago but it had no chance.”
Of course, this is West Ham, and it’s been a crazy news day even by our standards—so if anything has moved on since then, it will have to have happened very quickly.
As things stand, though, there is no indication from Paquetá’s camp that a move from the London Stadium to Spurs is on the cards.
