In the midst of Shilo Sanders getting cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the rumors have been flying around on his next move.
The son of Deion Sanders and Colorado Buffaloes defensive standout latched on as an undrafted free agent. By all accounts, he was performing well enough to be considered on the final roster. However, he threw a punch at Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson, effectively ending his time in Tampa.
On Sunday, Hard Rock Bet was the latest to poke fun at Sanders and his situation. The sportsbook posted a graphic of Shilo projected landing spots with No. 5 being very questionable. Outside of football, Sanders is a "man of many talents," according to his father who gushed about him during his weekly press conference on Tuesday.
"I've prepared my kids for any and everything that could possibly happen in life and in sports," Sanders told reporters. "That's part of fathering. That's part of parenting. That's part of having a relationship. So he is mentally where he needs to be. Physically where he needs to be. We're praying that he gets another opportunity to go with a team. But if he doesn't, the plans have all been put forward to what he's going to do next. Shilo is a man of many talents."
To think Shilo Sanders would be working at Florida-based grocery chain Publix is ridiculous. For now, we'll see how his future shakes out either in the league or not. No NFL team picked up Sanders off waivers, meaning he's an unrestricted free agent and clear to sign anywhere.
