Hunter Henry, Anfernee Jennings help local youth celebrate back-to-school with sneakers,…

While New England is preparing for Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season, Patriots players Hunter Henry and Anfernee Jennings are helping local youth get ready for the new school year.

Henry hosted a sneaker giveaway for local foster youth involved with Communities for People, a nonprofit he got to know since his first year in New England, on Tuesday in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He brought along his wife, Parker, and his two young children.

"We've worked with Communities For People in the past with a few events and just have a heart for what they do around this community and for the kids," Henry said. "I'm glad to come out here with my family today and give back and put a smile on their face. School is starting right around the corner, so to give (these kids) a pair of sneakers today is pretty cool."

The tight end collaborated with Sneaker Junkies, a New England based business, to give brand new shoes to a gymnasium full of kids, who were entertained between pizza, ice cream, and a plethora of sports equipment.

"I love sneakers," Henry said. "I think sneakers are a cool way to express yourself, and I remember going back to school, I always wanted a new pair of sneakers. Some of these may not have had that opportunity to walk into school on that first day with a new pair of sneakers."
