Leeds United working on twin attacking moves to sign players from Tottenham, Aston Villa

Daniel Farke’s Leeds United are keen on acquiring the services of Manor Solomon and Emiliano Buendia before the transfer deadline.

Newly promoted Leeds United have been quite active in the ongoing transfer window. They have made significant additions to their squad as they look to ensure they survive in the English top flight.

Despite having made over ten signings this summer, Daniel Farke’s team are not done yet. They seek more firepower in the final third, and according to Graeme Bailey via TBR, Leeds have their eyes set on Aston Villa’s Emiliano Buendia and Tottenham’s Manor Solomon.

Leeds are eyeing two Premier League stars

Buendia has gone down the pecking order at Villa in recent seasons. Since he is unlikely to have a prominent role this time around as well, the Yorkshire-based outfit could look to secure his services on loan.

Meanwhile, Leeds could make a late move for Solomon, who played a massive part in their promotion. During his loan spell last season, he was involved in a total of 39 league games and ended up contributing towards 22 goals.

While he still has three years left on his deal at Spurs, the 26-year-old is not an integral part of their plans. As a result, the North London club could actually sanction his departure if the right offer comes their way. Meanwhile, the player will certainly be interested in a move, having done wonders under Farke last time out.

The Yorkshire outfit are looking to add more depth on the flanks and in the number ten role, with Solomon and Buendia seen as potentially excellent additions.

Bailey on Leeds’ transfer plans

While speaking about Leeds’ plans for the final days of the window, Bailey said: “Leeds want a winger and a number 10 – there are still a few deals to be done.

“Buendia hasn’t played much for Villa, so he could come back into the equation and possibly arrive on loan.

“Leeds also want to do a couple of other deals, they’ll be one of the busier teams trying to complete moves.

“Regarding Solomon, he had a good season at Leeds last time out, but he’s not involved with Spurs at the moment. We’ll see how that one pans out.”

Solomon has already proved himself at Leeds, and since he is not a key part of Thomas Frank’s plans, bringing him back might not be too difficult.

However, securing the services of Buendia could be more complicated. While he spent the second half of last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen with limited game time, he has returned to Villa and featured in their defeat to Brentford last time out.

If Unai Emery decides to hand him an important role, Leeds could find it difficult to strike a deal. Irrespective of how things pan out, one thing is certain: Leeds are not done yet, and they will certainly look to complete a few more transfers before the window shuts.
