3. Former Pro Bowler
Lovato has accumulated some accolades during his long career as well.
The long snapper made the Pro Bowl following the 2019 season, the lone selection of his career so far.
4. Making his way from the FCS
Prior to his long NFL career, the long snapper worked on his craft in college at Old Dominion.
Lovato played in all 50 games for the Monarchs, serving as the long snapper all four years.
And once he played his first pro game, he became the first player from his alma mater to play in the NFL.
5. Harris on IR
This move comes on the heels of Josh Harris being moved to Injured Reserve (Designated to Return) on Tuesday.
Harris, who has been the Bolts long snapper since 2022, suffered an injury in the final preseason game and will be out at least for the first four games of the season.
The addition of Lovato gives the Chargers some insurance and veteran experience to pair with kicker Cameron Dicker and punter JK Scott.
