Jaquan Brisker almost made it out of training camp without injury.
The Bears safety left the field with a trainer Wednesday, the team’s last practice of training camp before the four-day weekend that precedes Game 1.
It’s unclear what his injury was. He spent time with trainers before taking a cart from the back two fields of Halas Hall toward the locker room.
Brisker missed 12 games last season after suffering a concussion while making a tackle against the Panthers. The Bears had been thrilled with his energy, play and health thus far in camp. So was the safety.
“Just making sure I’m staying healthy and staying on top of my things,” Brisker said earlier this month.
Linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II also left practice early. Linebacker T.J. Edwards didn’t practice after leaving early Wednesday. Cornerback Josh Blackwell and defensive linemen Dominique Robinson and Austin Booker did not practice.
The Bears have to start submitting injury reports next week.
