Alanna Kennedy has signed for the London City Lionesses in the Women’s Super League, making the move back to England after spending half a season in the USA with Angel City.
The defender makes her return to the WSL after spending 3 and a half years with Manchester City from 2021-2025, as well as with Tottenham Hotspur during the 2020/21 season.

Kennedy joins the newly promoted London City Lionesses for their first season in the top flight, and is one of several key internationals the team has signed for their debut season in the WSL. The defender is the thirteenth new signing for Jocelyn Prêcheur’s side, with the Netherlands’ Daniëlle van de Donk and England’s Nikita Parris joining the club for the upcoming season.
The defender made the move after signing for Angel City in the NWSL for the 2025 season, where she made 16 appearances and scored one goal.
Kennedy will bring a wealth of experience to London City’s defence, having made 59 appearances in the league over her time in England, as well as helping Manchester City claim the Women’s League Cup in the 2020/21 season.

The newly promoted side will kick off their inaugural season in the WSL on Saturday, 6th September at 10:30pm AEST when they take Arsenal. All of the Women’s Super League will be streamed on Stan Sport.
