GK – Robert Sanchez – some have questioned his keeping for Lucas Paqueta’s opener last Friday but it would be rather harsh to criticise him for conceding that goal.
RB – Reece James – after Malo Gusto was handed a start at the London Stadium, the captain could be recalled.
CB – Trevoh Chalobah – the centre-back continues to impress and he won’t be giving up his place to the fit-again Wesley Fofana anytime soon.
CB – Tosin Adarabioyo – Maresca has emphasised the 27-year-old’s importance to Chelsea’s passing game in the absence of Levi Colwill.
LB – Marc Cucurella – the left-back knows he has strong competition from new signing Jorrel Hato, so you would expect him to maintain his good form.
