The trade rumors linking Dallas Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers are not going away just yet. It’s not a secret that unless Parsons gets the extension contract he wants from the Cowboys, he’s not changing his stance about his desire to get traded somewhere else.
The Packers have been one of the top teams that people believe is a perfect landing spot for the former Penn State Nittany Lions star pass rusher, but there hasn’t been a significant move from either the Cowboys or Green Bay that suggests that such a trade is imminent. It’s all rumors at the moment, as the 2025 NFL regular season gets nearer and nearer to Week 1.
Was Parsons’ flight headed to a meeting with the Green Bay Packers?

Speaking of speculations, the rumors surrounding Parsons and the Packers have been doused with more fuel of late after he was recently spotted boarding a plane at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Many thought (or hoped) that Parsons was headed to Green Bay to talk with the Packers, but that rumor has been shut down by Jane Slater of the NFL Network.
“No he’s not headed to Cabo. I’m told Micah Parsons is getting a second opinion on his back per a source informed. The #Cowboys are off until Friday,” Slater shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Given that Parsons has already publicly revealed that he’s asked the Cowboys to trade him, every other team in the NFL has a reason to at least check out the possibility of acquiring him. After all, Parsons’ resume speaks for itself. He will be a huge addition to any team, like the Packers. He is a four-time Pro Bowler, who’s recorded at least 12.0 sacks in each year in the NFL.
