Ex-NFL quarterback Jay Cutler sentenced to 4 days in jail

Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler accepted a guilty plea Tuesday for a 2024 DUI in Tennessee.

Under the agreement, Cutler will serve four days at Williamson County Jail beginning by the end of the month. He also was ordered to pay a $350 fine, serve one year of supervised probation and attend a DUI safety class.

An earlier weapons charge was dropped as part of the plea, but Cutler forfeited the firearm, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Police in Franklin, Tenn., arrested a “visibly intoxicated” Cutler on Oct. 17 after he rear-ended another vehicle and allegedly refused to take a field sobriety test.

A rifle and a handgun were found in his car, leading to charges of driving under the influence, possessing a gun while intoxicated, failure to exercise due care and implied consent.

Cutler, 42, also allegedly attempted to flee after offering the other driver $2,000 not to call police.

Franklin is about 20 miles south of Nashville, where Cutler starred at Vanderbilt. He played 12 NFL seasons with the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.

He shares three children with his ex-wife, reality star and podcast host Kristin Cavallari.
