Gyokeres, Sesko, Pedro, Ekitike, Delap–We rank the top 5 new PL strikers

The 2025 summer transfer window has been a tumultuous one – especially for clubs in the Premier League.

Teams such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all splashed the cash on top forwards to try and get a leg up on their competition.

Today, we’ll be looking at five of the Premier League’s marquee striker signings. We’ll rank them based on how important we think they’ll be this season – though it’s likely that all of them will make a major impact.

5. Liam Delap

Chelsea snapped up Liam Delap for a fee of £30 million in June. For a young English striker with bags of potential, this could prove to be a real bargain.

Delap was a rare bright spark for Ipswich Town last season, during the Tractor Boys’ doomed relegation campaign. He scored 12 goals and notched up two assists, but could do nothing to help his team beat the drop.

At 6ft 1, Delap has excellent aerial ability. His counterpart, Joao Pedro, is more of a technical centre-forward – as such, the two complement each other very well.

4. Benjamin Sesko

A player touted for great things, Benjamin Sesko has been bestowed the biggest platform of his career so far with a move to Manchester United. At £74 million, he wasn’t cheap, but his ability certainly justifies such a lofty price tag.

A towering centre-forward, Sesko will certainly add height to United’s forward line – giving them an extra dimension from which they can attack their opponents.

Despite being just 22 years of age, Sesko already has 41 Slovenia caps under his belt, along with 16 goals on the international stage.
