Arsenal take on Liverpool in what is a huge game for both sides.
Arne Slot’s side won the Premier League last season, while Mikel Arteta’s men finished second for the third year in a row.
Many feel that the title race this term is between Arsenal and Liverpool, so the game at Anfield on Sunday is absolutely massive.
Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher predict Liverpool vs Arsenal result
Arsenal have a very poor record against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Gunners haven’t won a game there in nearly 13 years – Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla scored the last time they beat the Reds in their home ground.
Arteta’s men will be hoping to change that and make a big statement at Anfield on Sunday, and Gary Neville thinks Arsenal will do it.
However, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher doesn’t think that is going to happen because the Gunners will be without their best player – Bukayo Saka.
Here’s what they said on the Stick to Football podcast:

Neville: I fancy Arsenal to win.
Carragher: Liverpool have got to win with the injuries you’ve got. Saka is your best player, he’s out, isn’t he? I think Arsenal will score, I’m going to go Liverpool 2-1.
Neville: Arsenal score two from set-pieces.
Carragher: But think about how bad Arsenal were at Man United. If Arsenal are like they were at Man United, Liverpool win the game. No Saka, no Odegaard…
Neville: I think Arsenal score two from set-pieces. Liverpool will score one, it will be 2-1 Arsenal.

Liverpool have the chance to end an incredible Arsenal streak
Liverpool will have to back themselves to win the game at Anfield on Sunday, but it will not be easy.
Arsenal have a tremendous record in the Premier League against the traditional big six over the last two years – they haven’t lost a game since April 2023.
That should motivate Liverpool to end that streak, and beating the Gunners this early in the season would send a big statement.
However, Neville could well be right because Arsenal are the best team in the world in set-pieces, and Liverpool have had their struggles in that department recently.
That makes this a fascinating game to watch on Sunday.
