Barcelona will play their third and final _La Liga_ match before the first international break of the season away to Rayo Vallecano at the _Estadio de Vallecas_ in Madrid on Sunday, and let’s just say the conditions will be less than ideal.
These are the pictures that _El Chiringuito_ got on Wednesday of the current state of the playing surface, and it does not look good at all:
That is actual footage of the actual pitch of the actual stadium of an actual team in one of Europe’s Top 5 leagues.
But wait, it gets worse! On Thursday, three days before they host Barcelona, Rayo Vallecano will face Neman Grodno in a UEFA Conference League qualifier. That means the pitch will actually be beaten down even further and won’t have enough time to recover before Sunday’s match against Barça.
But hey, at least _La Liga_ is on top of all the registrations, though!
