Leeds United are working on several deals in the final days of the transfer window to bolster the club’s options. However, the club are also looking to finalise a few departures to balance their squad and clear out out-of-favour players from their wage bill.
While the focus is on adding more quality to their squad in the coming days, Leeds still have some serious work to do in terms of moving on unwanted personnel. Several players who are not part of Daniel Farke’s plans are still on the club’s books, and their future remains unresolved ahead of the transfer deadline.

Leeds United departure imminent as medical booked for Isaac Schmidt
Isaac Schmidt has had an agreement in place with Werder Bremen for weeks, but they were waiting for Leeds to find a replacement for him.
James Justin joined the Whites earlier this week, and Leeds are now prepared to sanction his departure to the German club ahead of the transfer deadline.
There were suggestions that Werder Bremen were having second thoughts about signing Schmidt, but an agreement between the two clubs was finalised yesterday.
The Germans are accelerating the process to finalise the Swiss defender’s arrival, and according to Sky Deutschland, he is booked for a medical in Bremen later today.
The defender will travel to Germany today to go through the final stages of his move to Werder Bremen and sign a contract with the club.
Schmidt will join Werder Bremen on an initial loan for the season with an option to buy set at between £2.58m and £3.4m.
Schmidt decided to move on from Leeds early in the window
The Swiss defender joined Leeds last summer, but played very little meaningful football despite being part of a promotion-winning squad at Elland Road.
He was involved in pre-season as Leeds were short of full-backs, and Jayden Bogle picked up an injury, but he was never going to be a regular at the club.
His representatives worked out an agreement with Bremen early in the summer, and the defender has been keen to move on from the club for weeks.
With Leeds now feeling secure following the arrival of James Justin, Schmidt is getting his wish to leave the club late in the transfer window.
